Po Toi O Village lies in the Clear Water Bay Peninsula. The piece of lowlying area and the hills surrounding it on three sides look like a pouch. Hence it is named Poi Toi O, meaning "Cloth Pouch Bay". Lying a distance from the main road, the area still retains a quiet and simple fishing village look. There is an over 300-years-old temple in the village worshipping God Hung Shing. In the early years, the villagers mainly lived on fishing and fish farming. Though these businesses have declined, the establishment of a number of seafood restaurants in recent years have attracted people to drive all the way there for the cuisine.
