West Island School
Characteristic
West Island School moved to present site in 1994. The campus was designed by award winning school designer Patrick Lau. A new extension was added in 2003 because of the expanding number of students. The main features of the design are the open spaces and numerous walkways that link up different blocks of the school. There are three roof sports areas, of which one is for playing basketball. Maximising the use of natural light is also a feature of the design. The basketball court though covered, natural light can come in from the full-length glass on four sides. The view from the other uncovered roof sports areas is unobstructed by buildings, so is that of the sitting area at a lower block. The swimming pool, though indoor, allows light in through the full-length window wall on one side. Since the campus was not built on level ground, different blocks are on different levels, each with common areas where students can sit out or play table tennis. All of them are open on one of the sides so that light can come in.

Remarks
- Any filming application is to be considered subject to the decision of the School.
- If filming is approved, the film crew should engage a licensed lifeguard for filming in the swimming pool. A copy of the relevant certificate should be provided before filming.
- The film shall not be pornographic or in any way controversial, or socially or politically sensitive.
- No scene of explosion, gunfire, violence, bloodshed or open fires is permitted.
- Smoking is prohibited on the school premises.
- Any damage or breakage to school property caused by filming shall be fully reimbursed by the film company.
- The name and logo of "West Island School" shall not be identified in any way in the film or any publicity, except for a discreet roller credit.
- The School will not be liable for any problems arising from filming.
- If filming is to be cancelled after signing the letter of acceptance, a cancellation fee of $5,000 is charged for each filming day booked.
- Any filming activities shall comply with the school terms and conditions.
