Sha Tau Kwok Public Pier is located at the easternmost of the land boundary between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and lies to the west of the former Sha Tau Kwok Public Pier. The pier is opened in end April 2007. It is mainly used for loading and unloading goods as well as for berthing of kaitos operating between Sha Tau Kwok and Kat O, Sam A and other locations in the northeast rural areas. The pier is in avant-garde design, with 4 berths and a catwalk over 100 metres long. It is covered with roofs of different heights to shelter users from sun and rain. It is also well illuminated at night.
No application is required. Please complete the notification form of location filming in public areas and send it by fax to Police Public Relations Wing for record. (Note: Filming should not disturb/obstruct other users of the public pier. Apply to Film Promotion and Facilitation Section of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency if filming will occupy the place for exclusive use.)
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
