Lantau Link and Ting Kau Bridge
Characteristic
The Lantau Link, comprising Tsing Ma Bridge and Kap Shui Mun Bridge, was opened in 1997. The link, carrying road and rail traffic at two levels, connects Lantau Island, Ma Wan, Tsing Yi Island, the Airport and the rest of Hong Kong. The Tsing Ma Bridge on Ma Wan Channel is the main part of the Lantau Link. It is one of the longest road and rail suspension bridges with a main span of 1.38 km and a total length of 2.2 km. The Kap Shui Mun Bridge on Kap Shui Mun Channel is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 430 m. Ting Kau Bridge was opened in 1998. It is a 1.1 km long span cable-stayed bridge for road traffic. It forms the vital link between the Tai Lam Tunnel and Tsing Yi Section of Route 3, which links the northern part of the New Territories with the city. These three bridges are not only an important infrastructure for the land transportation but also landmarks of Hong Kong.
How to Apply
For filming on the bridges, please complete the notification form of using camera cars or camera mounts for filming on public roads in Tsing Ma Control Area and send it by fax to Film Promotion and Facilitation Section of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency.
