The HKYWCA Sydney Leong Holiday Lodge is located on a scenic site in San Shek Wan, on the southern part of Lantau Island, occupying an area of 1 hectare. The lodge is designed in harmony with its lush natural surroundings, with sky gardens, natural lighting and unpainted concrete wall. The lodge comprises two building blocks and a number of recreational facilities. The 2-storey main building has two wings which are separated by an open space for recreational activities. All dormitory rooms feature a balcony with sweeping views of the surroundings. The full-height sliding glass doors of the multi-function hall allow daylight to brighten up the space. The design of the lodge won the World Association of Chinese Architects Award 2009 and Hong Kong Institute of Architects Merit Award 2007.
