Established in 1996, Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park is on a sheltered bay north of the Sai Kung West Country Park. It covers an area of about 260 hectares. The seaward boundary is demarcated by linking the tips of Heung Lo Kok and Kwun Tsoi Kok through the northern end of Flat Island (Ngan Chau) and Moon Island (Mo Chau). It has diverse marine lives including corals and mangroves.
Send the application form to the Department at least 8 working days in advance of the filming date with information on the exact location (with relevant maps in scale of 1:20,000 or larger attached), date, time, name of film, scripts of the relevant scenes, particulars of vessel, particulars of activity and number of participants involved.
Permit fee : $180/ event (a permit is usually valid for 2 days)
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
