King George V School was formerly the Central British School in 1902 and moved to its present site in 1936. The architectural style of the school is Classical Revival, with a clock tower at the front entrance. The school is highlighted with a standard football pitch which is rarely found in local schools. The modern design of the Science and Performing Arts Blocks blends harmoniously with the existing environment. The 6-storey new blocks are installed with glass curtain walls. There is an old banyan tree of 18m high in the campus, providing quiet break-out area for students. The new design of the school won the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Merit Award 2014. The school is a Grade II historic building.
