Opened in September 2016, the West Kowloon Law Courts Building is developed on a site of 7,509 sq m and comprises two blocks of 11 storeys with 32 courtrooms. The twin-tower blocks adopt an architectural style of simplicity and functional outlook. The building is equipped with energy-saving and environmental-friendly facilities. There are footpaths leading to the adjacent leisure areas and facilities.
Call before sending in the application form at least 1 month in advance of the filming date with information on the location, purpose of using Judiciary premises, date, time, description of the scenes and number of people involved. Scripts with dialogues of the scene are required.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable. Both are to be paid before filming.
If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
