Characteristic
Hong Kong Arts Centre was built in 1978. It is a 16-storey building. The first 5 floors are designed for performance, exhibition and screening. Others are for offices and restaurants. Triangle is the basic shape of the building. Even the windows are cut into triangular shapes. There is a spiral staircase at the centre of the lobby which leads to different performing and exhibition venues. The handrails of the staircase are prominently designed in bright yellow.
