Tsing Chuen Wai is situated in the northern part of Tuen Mun near Lam Tei Tsuen. Tsing Chuen Wai used to be known as Mak Yuen Wai. It adopted its present name because the whole village was surrounded by a boundary wall made of green bricks. Tsing Chuen Wai is dominated by a single clan, namely the To clan. Being a rural village with an ancient history, Tsing Chuen Wai has a lot of historic buildings and relics, such as the Tin Hau Temple, the To Ancestral Hall and a portion of the original greenbrick boundary wall at the main entrance of the Wai.
