Constructed in a simple traditional Chinese style with brightly coloured decorations, Fan Sin Kung was built in the Qing Dynasty to commemorate Fan Tai Sin Sze, the patron saint of potters. Wun Yiu Village was known for its porcelain production but the operation of the kilns eventually ceased in the early 20th century due to competition from imports. Fan Sin Kung was declared a monument in December 1999.
