Tin Hau Festival
Characteristic
Tin Hau Festival is on the 23rd day of the 3rd month of the lunar calendar. Fishermen will celebrate on that day so as to pay tribute to the Patron Saint of all seafaring folks. Due to the sizable fishermen community in Shau Kei Wan, the Tin Hau Festival is inevitably a happy and festive event. Typhoon shelters will be swarmed with fishing boats and small vessels decorated with colourful flags. Cantonese opera is one of the indispensable items of celebration.

No application is required. Please complete the notification form of location filming in public areas and send it by fax to Police Public Relations Wing for record.
