The joyous Chinese New Year falls in late January or early February. Lunar New Year Fairs are set up in various parks a few days prior to the New Year for fair-goers to buy festive flowers and other decorative items. On New Year day, a grand night parade performance is held in Tsim Sha Tsui while the spectacular fireworks display is held over Victoria Harbour on the second evening of Chinese New Year. Along the harbour, one can see the commercial buildings decorated with neon lighting of the festive theme.
