Lion Rock Country Park stands astride the high rocky ridge between North Kowloon and Sha Tin. The eastern part of the park extends to Shatin Pass, bordering Ma On Shan Country Park, while the western part of the park links with the adjacent Kam Shan Country Park. Attractions include the 348 hectare forestry plantation, the Lion Rock, Amah Rock, the surrounding scenic hillsides, and an area of granite formed in the Upper Jurassic period.
Send the application form to the Department at least 3 working days in advance of the filming date with information on the exact location (with relevant maps, either the Countryside Series or other maps in scale of 1:25,000 or larger attached), date, time, scenes to be taken, nature of activities involved, vehicles and bicycles to be taken into the country park, props and structures (sketches with scale should be provided).
Permit fee : $250/ day (0900 - 1630 hours)
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
