Shing Mun Country Park covers a total of 1,400 hectares. It extends from Lead Mine Pass in the north, to the Shing Mun catchwater road in the south, and from Tai Mo Shan in the west to Grassy Hill and Needle Hill in the east. The area was formally designated as a country park in 1977. It contains a rich variety of trees. It also features beautiful scenes of Shing Mun Reservoir, which is located in the park.

Send the application form to the Department at least 3 working days in advance of the filming date with information on the exact location (with relevant maps, either the Countryside Series or other maps in scale of 1:25,000 or larger attached), date, time, scenes to be taken, nature of activities involved, vehicles and bicycles to be taken into the country park, props and structures (sketches with scale should be provided).
Permit fee : $250/ day (0900 - 1630 hours)
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
