Shung Him Tong Village has over 100 years of history. It is the first Christian village established by Reverend Ling Kai-lin and Mr Pang Lok-sam. The "Kin Tak House", a 2-storey Hakka-style residential apartment, is still preserved in the village. One can have a more thorough understanding of the village history after reading the several pieces of framed handwriting hung on the wall. The Tsung Kyam Church was rebuilt in 1951. An over 1,858 sq m cemetery is located on the right hand side of the village. Walking up the slope on the other side of the village is the Chong Him Primary School. The school has a green environment with a 2-storey main building, a hall, a football pitch and garden.
