Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre, also known as "Red House", was formerly the senior staff quarter of the Taikoo Sugar Refinery built in 1922 and revitalized into an education centre in June 2012. Occupying an area of around 3,386 sq m, the 2-storey building is designed in British-style, with the exterior walls built with red bricks. There are arched verandahs and a nature garden with native tree species in the surroundings. It was declared Grade II historic building in 1998. The section of Mount Parker Road leading to the centre is a prohibited zone. A permit is required for bringing filming vehicles to the site. Application shall be made to Transport Department (Tel: 2829 5814) at least 3 weeks in advance.

Apply to relevant department(s) in writing at least 14 working days in advance of the filming date via Film Promotion and Facilitation Section of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, with information on the company, location, date, time, title of the production, nature of filming, release date and the channel(s), synopsis of the film, descriptions of the scene, size of the crew, props set to be used, equipment list, and use of government power supply.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.
If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
Applicants may be required to effect a public liability insurance at their own expense in the joint names of the Government of the HKSAR and the company, with terms and conditions to be approved by the Department.
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
