Fire Services Department - Breathing Apparatus Tender / Pod
Characteristic
A Breathing Apparatus Tender provides logistics and operational supports in fire-fighting and rescue operations where a large number of breathing apparatus sets, additional breathing apparatus cylinders and/or air liner units are required. Its air-conditioned cab can carry 5 crew members, and the rear contains 6 externally accessed lockers. A Breathing Apparatus Pod carries breathing apparatus, reserve breathing apparatus cylinders and detection equipment. It will be delivered to radiological, biological and chemical incidents on a hook-lift-truck, where large quantity of breathing apparatus and equipment is required.
Facilities
Both have air liners, breathing apparatus sets, spare breathing air cylinders. The latter also provides toxic and combustible gas detection equipment

How to Apply
Send in the application form at least 7 clear working days in advance of the filming date with information on the location, date, time, story of the film, scenes to be taken and nature of the activities.
Fees
Fire Services Department premises
$6,870 for the first 4 hours (basic charge), $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.

All fees are to be paid before filming.
Remarks
- Applications are subject to operational considerations.
- When approval is granted, the applicant is required to sign an agreement to indemnify FSD for any damage or loss arising from the provision of service.
