Characteristic
Foam Tender and Foam Pod are used to carry out oil fuel fire fighting with foam and foam concentrate transportation. The Foam Tender was developed with an aim to improving the maneuverability and operational efficiency by providing a roof mounted foam monitor onto the fire appliances and holding all foam concentrate into a three-compartment built-in tank. For minor fire incident, the Foam Tender, when deployed with a fire appliance equipped with fire pump, will be able to discharge foam from its roof monitor. Bulk Foam Tender is designed to provide a continuous supply of foam concentrate to the First Intervention Vehicle for prolonged fire fighting operation with foam. Apart from equipping with a foam tank in 3 compartments of a total capacity of 10,000 litres and a small foam tank of training of 200 litres, the fire appliance has a roof mounted foam monitor, a water pump of 3,600 litres/min. and a foam concentrate transfer pump of 500 litres/min. The Foam Pod carries 2 1500-liter collapsible foam tanks, 4 1000-liter foam tanks and 10 delivery hoses (70 mm x 23 m). The Foam Pod needs a Hook-lift-truck for conveyance.

How to Apply
Send in the application form at least 7 clear working days in advance of the filming date with information on the location, date, time, story of the film, scenes to be taken and nature of the activities.
Fees
Fire Services Department premises
$6,870 for the first 4 hours (basic charge), $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.

Transportation and fuel consumption costs incurred are to be charged separately.
All fees are to be paid before filming.
Remarks
- Applications are subject to operational considerations.
- When approval is granted, the applicant is required to sign an agreement to indemnify FSD for any damage or loss arising from the provision of service.
