Tsing Ma Bridge spans 1,377 m across Ma Wan Channel. The bridge has 2 sets of bridge towers, one located on Tsing Yi side and the other on a man-made island 120 m from the coast of Ma Wan Island. Both towers are 206 m above sea level. The top of the bridge tower is the best point to have a panoramic view of the bridge itself and Ma Wan Channel. Due to limited space, only 2 to 3 crew members are allowed to get up there.
The applicant should contact Film Promotion and Facilitation Section of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency for the filming and provide information on the location, date, time, scenes to be shot, size of the crew and equipment list. Film Promotion and Facilitation Section will consult relevant department(s) for the feasibility of the filming.
Processing time is subject to the complexity of the shooting details.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block.
Deposit : $20,000 - $100,000 depending on the effect on the structure or operation.
If extra Government/ Tsing Ma Control Area Operator's personnel is required to assist in the filming, additional cost will be charged.
Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance of $150 million (depending on the risk level) at their own expense in the joint names of the Government of the HKSAR, the Tsing Ma Control Area Operator (currently the TIML MOM Ltd) and the company with terms and conditions to be approved by the Highways Department. A copy of the policy should be provided to the Highways Department and the Tsing Ma Control Area Operator. Applicants are advised to contact the Assistant Operations Manager (tel : 2436 5152) of Tsing Ma Control Area Operator for the insurance requirements.
