City Gallery is located next to the Hong Kong City Hall in Central waterfront. It is the first planning and infrastructure gallery in Hong Kong which showcases the city’s infrastructure development. It has a gross floor area of about 3,265 sq m in 5 storeys. The exhibition areas from the ground to 3rd floors provides a wide range of exhibits. The multi-purpose hall provides a venue for conference and seminar and has a seating capacity of 180.

Call before sending in the application form with information on the location, date, time, nature of the filming, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, props set to be used, size of the crew and cast, and equipment list.
Processing time : 7 working days for simple/straightforward cases.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block
Filming in hiring units is subject to the following charges
G/F thematic exhibition area
Mondays - Fridays: $3,641 for the first day and $1,792 for each subsequent day
Saturdays and Sundays: $5,273 for the first day and $3,423 for each subsequent day
3/F multi-purpose hall
$4,751 for the first 3 hours and $967 for each subsequent hour
3/F meeting room
$2,149 for the first 3 hours and $272 for each subsequent hour
A refundable deposit equal to the fees payable is required.
If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
All fees are to be paid before filming.
Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance at their own expense in the joint names of the Government of the HKSAR and the company, and submit a copy of the concerned insurance document.
Filming should not affect the normal operation of the Gallery.
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
