Characteristic
The Prince Philip Dental Hospital is the only dental teaching hospital in Hong Kong. It is a 7-storey building with lots of corridors, public areas and lobbies that can be mocked up for hospital scenes. This hospital does not have any ward.

How to Apply
Call the Facility Management Office before sending the form "Application Form for Location Filming at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital" (PPDH 200) to the Hospital with information on the location, date, time, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, size of the crew, use of hospital furniture, equipment or power supply, details of any use of explosives and/or inflammable materials and details of any setting or alteration to the property required.
Processing time : 21 working days.
For location scouting, call before sending the form "Application Form for Location Scouting at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital" (PPDH 199) to the Security Office.
Processing time : 5 working days. The Hospital will not accept applications which do not give sufficient notice according to the processing time indicated above.
Fees
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.
If the number of crew members exceeds 30 and/or deemed necessary by the Hospital, the applying company has to engage additional security guard(s) at its own cost from the relevant property management agent via the Hospital to monitor the filming activities. Security guard charge : $880/ guard (minimum 2 security guards per 8-hour block including meal break)
If extra hospital personnel is required to take part in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged separately.
If air-conditioning is required, the air-conditioning cost will be charged on an hourly basis.
All fees will be subject to revision without prior notification.
PLI cover
Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance in the sum of $10 million or above at their own expense.
Remarks
- Applicants are advised to study the "Guidance Notes on Application for Location Filming at The Prince Philip Dental Hospital" before tendering applications.
- The Hospital reserves the right to cancel any booking should it be considered necessary.
- No refund of the security guard charges will be made for any cancellation of filming less than 3 working days before the filming.
- The Hospital will not accept applications which do not give sufficient notice according to the processing time indicated above.
