Energizing Kowloon East Office occupies an area of 3,600 sq m underneath the Kwun Tong Bypass. It is a temporary office building adopting an ecogreen concept of architecture, with lean construction methods and low embodied energy materials. It is Hong Kong's first low carbon temporary office. The building won the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) Plus NB V1.1 Platinum rating endorsed by the Hong Kong Green Building Council in Hong Kong.
Call before sending in the application form with information on the location, date, time, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, size of the crew, use of government power supply or utilities, and details of any alteration and reinstatement works to the property.
Processing time : 7 working days for simple/straightforward cases and payment by cash. 10 or more working days for complicated cases such as those involving consultation with relevant government departments/ property owners etc., and/or payment by cheque.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable. Both are to be paid before filming.
If extra government personnel is required to facilitate the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
Applicants may be required to effect a public liability insurance at their own expense.
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
