Characteristic
Energizing Kowloon East Office occupies an area of 3,600 sq m underneath the Kwun Tong Bypass. It is a temporary office building adopting an ecogreen concept of architecture, with lean construction methods and low embodied energy materials. It is Hong Kong's first low carbon temporary office. The building won the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) Plus NB V1.1 Platinum rating endorsed by the Hong Kong Green Building Council in Hong Kong.

How to Apply
Call before sending in the application form with information on the location, date, time, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, size of the crew, use of government power supply or utilities, and details of any alteration and reinstatement works to the property.
Processing time : 7 working days for simple/straightforward cases and payment by cash. 10 or more working days for complicated cases such as those involving consultation with relevant government departments/ property owners etc., and/or payment by cheque.
Fees
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable. Both are to be paid before filming.
If extra government personnel is required to facilitate the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.

Applicants may be required to effect a public liability insurance at their own expense.
Remarks
- Filming is not allowed in the office areas, and can only take place during non-office hours.
- The film crew should strictly follow the instructions of the authorised staff of the Energizing Kowloon East Office (EKEO).
- The applicant shall ensure that no nuisance, disturbance or inconvenience is caused during filming. No damage shall be caused to the property.
- Alterations, fixing or painting to the property is not allowed.
- The name of EKEO shall not be identified unless prior permission has been sought.
- The nature of the film shall not be a cause of embarrassment to the HKSAR Government, the property itself or any of its occupants. Nor shall it offend the laws of Hong Kong or be of immoral, defamatory or political flavour.
- The applicant should clean the venue up to the satisfaction of EKEO after the filming.
- Applications will be considered on case-by-case basis and subject to policy, operational, safety and security considerations. The final decision of acceptance rests with EKEO.
