Hong Kong Design Institute
Characteristic
Established in 2007, Hong Kong Design Institute is an educational institute dedicated to providing training in design. Adjacent to the Tiu Keng Leng MTR Station, the campus covers an area of around 40,000 square meters. It features a "floating platform" supported by 4 teaching towers and a diagrid structural system made of reinforced concrete and structural steel. Its design originated from the idea of a "floating white sheet". The institute has an auditorium of 740 seats, lecture theatre, classrooms, library and various sports facilities.
