Hong Kong Shue Yan University is the first private university in Hong Kong founded in 1971. The campus comprises 4 buildings, namely Main Building, Library Complex, Residential & Amenities Complex and Research Complex built along Wai Tsui Road, Braemar Hill. The design of the campus adopts a colour theme of white and orange, adding vibrancy to the campus. The campus offers lots of leisure areas for teachers and students. The Research Complex has a total gross floor area of 35,300 sq m. It consists of a high block of 15 storeys and a low block of 7 storeys, both are built over a podium of 5 storeys. The two blocks are connected by a steel bridge with spacious lift lobbies, student hostels, lecture rooms, study areas, research centres and office rooms. The Forum Theatre on LG2 provides 202 retractable seating. The 35th Anniversary Hall on the ground floor of the Main Building is an indoor event venue with a long history.
