Wah Ha Estate was formerly the Chai Wan Factory Estate built in 1959. It was revitalised into a public housing estate in 2016. Occupying a site area of 4,500 sq m, the 5-storey estate is located near MTR Chai Wan Station. The estate retains the H-shape design of the former factory estate, with long and open corridors. The shops on the ground floor are equipped with the old-style collapsible gates to give a nostalgic atmosphere. The design of the estate won the Silver Award of the HKIA Cross-Strait Architectural Design Symposium and Awards 2017. It is a Grade II historic building.
