Opened in 2004, Ma On Shan Bypass is a main road linking Ma On Shan and Sai Kung district, consisting of a highway and an underpass. The underpass has two tubes in curved shape, each with two lanes. The eastbound tube is around 160m in length and the westbound tube is around 220m. The underpass runs under the hill near Cheung Muk Tau, linking Ma On Shan Bypass and Sai Sha Road.
