Eastern Law Courts Building is located in Tai On Street in Sai Wan Ho. The multi-storey building has a practical design. The building is marked with yellow strips of painted walls on the top and ground floors. At the entrance area are front steps and an arched awning. The court building consists of Eastern Magistrates' Courts. Some parts of the building are occupied by sub-offices of various government departments, etc.
Send in the application form at least 10 clear working days in advance of the filming date with information on the location, date, time, synopsis of the film, size of the crew, use of government power supply and details of the use of any explosives and/or inflammable materials.
$7,110 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $2,050 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable. Both are to be paid at least 2 clear working days before filming.
If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
If the number of film crew members exceeds 30 and/or the property has been vacant and not manned by security guards, the applying company has to engage a security guard to monitor the filming at its own cost from the relevant property management agent via the Government Property Agency :
