The Memorial Monument for Sai Kung Martyrs during World War II (the Monument), situated in Tsam Chuk Wan, was completed in January 1989. The Monument includes a “Pai Lau” (memorial archway), a memorial pavilion for the martyrs, cenotaph, etc. The cenotaph is engraved with inscriptions recounting the resistance against Japanese invasion. The Monument stands on a vantage point overlooking the scenic and tranquil waters of the Sai Kung Bay.
