HSBC Main Building is located in the heart of Central facing the Statue Square Gardens. Built in 1985, the building is around 179 m in height and 99,000 sq m in gross area. The renowned British architect, Sir Norman Foster, diligently manipulated bridge technology in designing the building. Its steel-and-glass structure visually expresses the rich mixture of spaces within and lets natural lights down into the centre of the building. The spectacular design of the building has won several architectural awards. It is considered as one of the most remarkable buildings in the world.
