Yan Chau Tong Marine Park is located north to Plover Cove Country Park and comprises 2 separate parts with a total sea area of about 680 hectares. It is designated as a marine park in 1996. The part at Yan Chau Tong (Double Haven) is bounded by the coastline of the Mainland in the east and that of Wong Wan Chau (Double Island) in the west. Another part of the marine park is next to Lai Chi Wo. A wide variety of landforms such as bays, projecting headlands, peninsulas, rock cliffs, sand pits and beaches can be found in the area. They form diversified beach types ranging from mudflat to rocky shores.
Send the application form to the Department at least 8 working days in advance of the filming date with information on the exact location (with relevant maps in scale of 1:20,000 or larger attached), date, time, name of film, scripts of the relevant scenes, particulars of vessel, particulars of activity and number of participants involved.
Permit fee : $180/ event (a permit is usually valid for 2 days)
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
