Fire Services Department - Hazmat Tender / Pod and Mass Decontamination Pod
Characteristic
The Hazmat Tender is a modified Breathing Apparatus Tender equipped with enhanced detection, containment, protection and disposal equipment in dealing with hazardous materials incidents such as accidents in laboratories, suspicious post treatment etc. The 4-door air-conditioned vehicle can carry 6 members. The Hazmat Pod carries detection equipment, protection suits and decontamination equipment while Mass Decontamination Pod carries decontamination equipment such as Airshower Decontamination Unit with Water Heater and Airshelta. They will be delivered to radiological, biological and chemical incidents on a Hook-lift-truck when needed.

How to Apply
Send in the application form at least 7 clear working days in advance of the filming date with information on the location, date, time, story of the film, scenes to be taken and nature of the activities.
Fees
Fire Services Department premises
$6,870 for the first 4 hours (basic charge), $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.

Transportation and fuel consumption costs incurred are to be charged separately.
All fees are to be paid before filming.
Remarks
- Applications are subject to operational considerations.
- When approval is granted, the applicant is required to sign an agreement to indemnify FSD for any damage or loss arising from the provision of service.
