Tai Yuen Street in Wan Chai is one of the streets that can most reflect the daily life of Hong Kong people. Within this approximately 200 m street, there are stalls selling daily necessities, clothes, accessories, jade items and antiques, as well as flowers and goldfish. Among them, a few toyshops selling trendiest games, figurines and old-styled tin toys are well known. There are also various types of restaurants and food stalls serving local delicacies at friendly price levels. The buildings along this street are mainly for residential use. Scattered old-styled tenement-houses can still be found. The section between Johnston Road and Cross Street is a part-time pedestrian precinct during 10am - 6pm daily.
