Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza

Characteristic

Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza refers specifically the two open spaces to the east and to the west of the Grand Theatre of the Cultural Centre. The two open spaces provide the views of Victoria Harbour. The Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower can be captured in the piazza. For filming the clock tower at the piazza, application shall be made to Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

How to Apply

Call before sending in the application form with information on the location, date, time, nature of activities, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, props set to be used, size of the crew and cast, equipment list and a copy of the public liability insurance cover.

Processing time : 7 working days for simple/straightforward cases and payment by cash. 10 or more working days for filming at the hiring units of performing venues, and complicated cases such as those involving consultation with relevant government departments/ property owners etc., and/or payment by cheque.

Fees

$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable.

If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.

Fees are to be paid 6 working days before filming.

PLI cover

Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance in the sum of $6.5 million to $30 million (depending on the risk level) in the joint names of the Government of the HKSAR and the company at their own expense, with terms and conditions to be approved by the Department.

Remarks

All applicants are required to sign an undertaking that they will observe the general house rules.
