Wo Hop Shek Crematorium was renovated in 2012. Together with the newly completed Columbarium and Garden of Remembrance, the premises cover an area of 46,570 sq m designed with the theme of consolation. There is a reflection pool at the entrance of the crematorium and the terraced lawn on the roof of the incinerator's room is set with a tranquil water landscape. The columbarium is a 5-storey building with wooden cladding, housing over 43,000 niches. The spaces between the wood panels allow natural light to come in and enhance ventilation. The garden in the West Wing is of western design concept and decorated with stone animal sculptures and thematic plaque walls creating an artistic atmosphere. The garden in the East Wing is of Chinese architectural style, comprising three tiers of individual theme with different Chinese plantings: bamboo, plum and willow.

Contact the Senior Health Inspector (C&C) of the venue concerned before submitting the application form at least 10 working days in advance of the filming date with information on the location, date, time, purpose of using the venue, synopsis of the film, size of the crew, cast, etc.

$7,090 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,990 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit equal to the fees payable. Both are to be paid before filming.
