Kwong Yuen Commercial Complex, conveniently located among Kwong Yuen Estate, Kwong Lam Court and Hong Lam Court, has a floor area of 6,077 sq m. It is uniquely designed to merge with the village environment nearby. It comprises a cluster of 5 blocks of 2-storey pitched-roof buildings and a 26 m high clock tower, which located on 2 platforms sloping from the east to the west in the valley with a level difference of 15 m. Punctuated with gentle ramps, sculptural staircases, steps, terracing planters and seating benches, the complex leisurely blends with the landscape courtyards. The clock tower is located at the centre of the complex, providing a focal point at the upper level. The design of the commercial centre won the 'Meritorious Award' in 1992 at an annual design competition organised by Institute of Hong Kong Architecsts.
