Stonecutters Island Public Cargo Working Area
Characteristic
The Stonecutters Island Public Cargo Working Area is 600 m in length and is situated right behind the Kwai Chung Container Terminal 8. It is one of the main public cargo working areas in Western Kowloon. In its vicinity, the Stonecutters Island Bridge is in construction. This will connect Tsing Yi and Cheung Sha Wan in the future, helping to ease the busy traffic in the area.

How to Apply
Send the application form to the Information and Public Relations Section with information on the location, date, time, purpose of filming, name of the film, brief description of the filming plan, size of the crew and a copy of Business Registration Certificate and Operating Licences of the vessels involved.
Processing time : 7 working days upon receipt of all the required documents.
For filming that involves the use of pyrotechnics, the applicant should obtain permission from Entertainment Special Effects Licensing Authority (tel : 2594 0465 or 2594 0466).
If open burning and/or potential pollution at sea is involved, the applicant should obtain permission from Environmental Protection Department (tel : 2838 3111).
Fees
$6,870 for the first 4 hours (basic charge) and $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block. The charges payable plus a refundable deposit of the same amount are to be paid before filming.
If extra government personnel or equipment is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
