The Western Wholesale Food Market was established in 1991. It is about 62,000 sq m in size, housing over 510 stalls for the wholesale of fruits, freshwater fishes, vegetables, egg products and mixed food.

Send the application form at least 10 working days in advance of the proposed filming date to the Agricultural Officer (Market Administration) with information on the exact location, date, time, nature and theme of the film, synopsis of the film, description of the scenes, size of the crew and details of the use of any explosives and/or inflammable materials.
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block and a refundable deposit of $50,000 or equivalent to the fees payable, whichever is higher.
If extra government personnel is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
Fees are to be paid before filming.
Applicants are required to effect a public liability insurance at their own expense in the joint names of the Government of the HKSAR and the company, with terms and conditions to be approved by the Department.
Compliments to the government and public bodies that have agreed to consider applications to hire premises or facilities under their management for location filming.
