Situated near MTR Ngau Tau Kok Station, Kwun Tong Garden Estate was built in the 1960s, occupying an area of 56,870 sq m with 9 blocks. The 8-storey buildings were designed with long corridor on each floor. Between 1987 and 1991, 4 blocks were redeveloped into high-rise buildings in cruciform style, named as "Lotus Towers", each of 28 to 30 storeys.

How to Apply
Apply online with information on the exact location, date, time, nature and theme of the film, synopsis of the film, script of the particular scenes, size of the crew, amount of equipment, use of explosives, modified firearm and blank ammunition and other types of weapon, any need for the use of Hong Kong Housing Society's facilities and equipment, and any indecent scenes.
Processing time : 10 working days.
Fees
$6,870 (basic charge) for the first 4 hours, $1,935 for each subsequent 4-hour block. The charge should be settled before filming.
If extra personnel or equipment is required to assist in the filming, the actual cost plus overheads will be charged.
Remarks
- The name and logo of the Hong Kong Housing Society and the property shall not be identified.
- The nature of the film shall not be a cause of embarrassment to either the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Hong Kong Housing Society or the property itself or any of its occupants whether they be tenants or their visitors or other invitees or licencees, nor should it offend the laws of Hong Kong or be of immoral, defamatory or political nature.
- Category III, be it of violence or pornographic in nature, would not normally be permitted.
- Filming should not be a cause of nuisance, disturbance and inconvenience to the residents.
- If an application is approved, the applicant is required to sign an undertaking to abide by specific conditions for the filming.
*The estate is now under major redevelopment works and the availability for location filming will depend on circumstances.
