Characteristic

The Light Rail system was first introduced in 1988 to provide services to residents of the northwestern New Territories, including Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai. Light Rail stops largely built at ground-level are convenient for boarding and alighting. Each of these stops comprises a platform station with open fare system without admission gate. Light Rail On Ting Stop is located at the ground level between the shopping arcades of On Ting Estate and Yau Oi Estate. It is one of the very few light rail stops which are fully integrated into its surroundings.

How to Apply

Contact Assistant Marketing Officer to discuss the filming details and application form with storyboard/ synopsis of the film, description of the scenes and an application fee of $10,000 (please see remark (2) below).

Processing time : 4 weeks. Applications with inadequate filming details may result in longer processing time and the filming date to be postponed.

Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance in the sum of $30 million in the joint names of the MTR Corporation Limited and the company.

Remarks
  1. The fees are subject to the decision of the MTR Corporation Limited.
  2. The application fee will be deducted from the total payable amount if an application is approved. The application fee will be refundable if an application is disapproved.
  3. Subject to the operational constraints, the MTR Corporation Limited has the right to reject the booking. To avoid delay, applicants are advised to submit an application with full details of the shooting and 4 weeks in advance for filming, especially for train arrangements.
  4. Trains, concourses, platforms of MTR premises are available for hiring after midnight. For Light Rail, day time shooting during non-peak hours is possible. Please contact Assistant Marketing Officer for details.
