Characteristic

Airport Express Train provides the fastest transportation service linking up the Hong Kong International Airport and major city areas in Hong Kong. It is about 35 km in length and takes only 24 minutes to get from Central to the airport, 21 minutes to travel to West Kowloon and 13 minutes to Tsing Yi. It operates from 5:50 am to 1:15 am daily. The airport trains can operate with top speed at 135 km per hour. Unlike other MTR trains widely using aluminium inside the compartments, the airport train interior has a cosy design with soft lights. The compartments are all air-conditioned and furnished with cushioned seats. Each seat is fitted with personal seat back TV providing the latest flight information, weather and current affairs. Spacious racks located near the train doors provide ample room for luggage storage. Wide windows give passengers a 'quick' view of the magnificent scenery along the railway.

How to Apply

Contact Assistant Marketing Officer to discuss the filming details and application form with storyboard/ synopsis of the film, description of the scenes and an application fee of $10,000 (please see remark (2) below).

Processing time : 4 weeks. Applications with inadequate filming details may result in longer processing time and the filming date to be postponed.

Applicants shall effect a public liability insurance in the sum of $30 million in the joint names of the MTR Corporation Limited and the company.

Remarks
  1. The fees are subject to the decision of the MTR Corporation Limited.
  2. The application fee will be deducted from the total payable amount if an application is approved. The application fee will be refundable if an application is disapproved.
  3. Subject to the operational constraints, the MTR Corporation Limited has the right to reject the booking. To avoid delay, applicants are advised to submit an application with full details of the shooting and 4 weeks in advance for filming, especially for train arrangements.
  4. Trains, concourses, platforms of MTR premises are available for hiring after midnight. For Light Rail, day time shooting during non-peak hours is possible. Please contact Assistant Marketing Officer for details.
